Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about how projects work, WordPress themes and plugins, editing, payments and delivery.

Getting started

How do I start a project?

Send us the details through the Contact page: what you need, your timeline and any references. We review the request and reply with the next steps, usually within one business day.

Do I need a full brief before contacting you?

No. Tell us the outcome you want and what you already have. We help turn that into a clear scope before any work begins.

Can you work with my existing website?

Yes. We regularly improve, fix and extend existing WordPress sites, provided we have the access needed to work on them safely.

WordPress themes & plugins

Do you build themes from my own design?

Yes. We can build a theme from Figma, PSD or HTML files, or design the theme for you first and then develop it.

Will the theme work with the block editor and WooCommerce?

Where your project needs it, yes. We build block editor support, custom blocks and WooCommerce templates as part of the scope.

Can you build a plugin for a feature no existing plugin covers?

That is exactly what custom plugin development is for. We scope the feature, build it as a standalone plugin and test it against your site.

Do I own the code you write?

Client-specific code is transferred or licensed to you under the project agreement once payment is complete. Third-party libraries keep their own licences.

Editing & content

What is the difference between proofreading and copyediting?

Proofreading is a final check for spelling, grammar, punctuation and formatting. Copyediting goes further, improving clarity, flow, consistency and tone.

What kinds of content do you edit?

Website pages, blog posts, articles, marketing copy, business reports, proposals, presentations, newsletters and books.

How will I see the changes?

You receive a version with tracked changes and comments, plus a clean final copy.

Do you write new articles and blog posts?

Yes. We write articles and blog posts from your brief or topic list, in your brand voice, and edit each one before delivery.

What does SEO optimization of a page include?

We check the search intent, then improve the title tag, meta description, headings, keyword use, internal links and image alt text, while keeping the writing natural.

Invoicing systems

Do you process payments for my customers?

No. We build the invoicing and payment-link system. Payments go directly from your customer to your own account with your chosen provider, and we never hold your money.

Which payment providers can the payment links use?

Most providers that offer payment links or an API, including Stripe, PayPal, Paystack, Flutterwave and M-Pesa. You keep your own account with the provider.

How does the WhatsApp feature work?

We connect the system to your WhatsApp Business API account so it can send invoices, reminders and receipts, and so your team can reply to customers from the dashboard.

Payments & delivery

How do I pay for a project?

Payment terms are confirmed before work begins. You receive an invoice with a secure payment link, and larger projects can be split into milestones.

Do you include revisions?

Revision rounds depend on your plan or project agreement. Additional revisions can be quoted when needed.

How long does delivery take?

It depends on scope. You get a practical delivery estimate once we have reviewed your requirements.
